Program: The First Through-Hike of the Ohio to Erie Trail
Presenter: Andy Niekamp
Description: In April of 2013, Andy Niekamp set out on a hiking journey on the Ohio to Erie Trail from the Ohio River in Cincinnati to Lake Erie in Cleveland. The Ohio to Erie Trail is 325 miles long and is primarily a bicycle route. It is the only trail linking Ohio's three largest cities: Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland. The goal of his hike was to demonstrate that Ohio's bikeways can be hiked as well as bicycled. His presentation will take you on a foot journey through Ohio on the first ever end to end hike of the Ohio to Erie Trail with beautiful photos of countryside, small towns, big cities and Amish country.

February 7, 2014 - 7:00pm
Program: Backpacking in Glacier National Park
Presenter: Joel Timmons
Description: My journey through Glacier National Park was centered on being the lucky recipient of the most coveted backpacking permit in the park; the 50 mile Northern Loop. This loop is popular as it includes all dynamics of the park from mountain tops to valley floors with fascinating changes in flora and vegetation as one ascends and descends on steep hills and ridges created by glacier melt. This 6 day, 5 night journey included many wonders and challenges which we will share in this photo documentary.

March 14, 2014 - 7:00pm
Program: Enhancing European Travel with Day Hikes and Biking
Presenter: Randy and Marilyn Durrum
Description: European travel offers many opportunities to get away from the tourist crowd and enjoy spectacular natural and historical vistas. Our presentation will cover biking in Ireland and Belgium as well as moderate-level hikes in Italy (Capri, the Amalfi Coast, the Dolomites and Cinque Terre) and Wales (portions of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path). We will show how we took advantage of circular routes and public transportation on our excursions.
